Details Work setting is a freestanding Emergency Department with 6 staffed beds Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a) Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities May be floated to sister MUSC Health facilities (Columbia NE or DT) within scope Patient ratios are team-based Charting is performed in Epic (experience required) Free parking available on site Requirements Active SC RN license or compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license in hand before start Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience required Epic EMR experience required Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs Completion of facility modules is required prior to start date Royal blue scrubs required Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September American Traveler Job ID P-687620.
