Job Title: Packaging Technician Location: Wilding Brands – Denver, ColoradoDepartment: Production / PackagingReports To: Packaging SupervisorPosition SummaryWilding Brands is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating, cleaning, and maintaining canning and kegging equipment to ensure high-quality packaged beer. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values quality and safety, and takes pride in producing consistent, top-tier products.Key ResponsibilitiesCanning OperationsOperate and monitor canning line equipment (filler, seamer, cartoner, date coder, tray packer, keg washer, and keg filling)Perform quality checks including fill levels, seam integrity, DO (dissolved oxygen), and carbonationStage materials (cans, lids, trays, cartons, keg collars, keg caps)Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate when neededSeam check cans periodically during each run.Weigh and perform DO checks with Anton Paar.Kegging OperationsClean, inspect, and fill kegs using aseptic techniques to the proper weightsPerform keg washing/CIP processes and verify sanitation standardsInspect kegs for defects and ensure proper labeling and trackingSanitation & CIPExecute cleaning procedures for fillers, lines, and associated equipmentFollow SOPs for caustic, acid, and sanitizer (PAA) usageMaintain strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standardsDemonstrate proper sanitary technique for cleaning of all equipment to prevent microscopic contamination.Quality & ComplianceFollow all QA/QC protocols to ensure product integrityAccurately complete batch records, packaging logs, and downtime reportsComply with OSHA and brewery safety standardsGeneral DutiesAssist with changeovers between brands and package formatsMaintain a clean and organized workspace (5S principles)Support preventative maintenance activitiesWork collaboratively with brewing, cellaring, and warehouse teamsQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPsMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityPreferredPrevious experience in beverage manufacturing or brewery packagingExperience with canning lines and/or keg washers/fillersFamiliarity with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standardsForklift certification (or willingness to obtain)Work EnvironmentWet, cold, and fast-paced production environmentExposure to cleaning chemicals and pressurized systemsFlexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as neededCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage: $20-$25/hr. dependent on experience.Shift differential depending on shift assignmentRetirement PlanHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysBeer perks and employee discountsOpportunities for growth and advancementWhy Join Wilding Brands?We are passionate about crafting high-quality beer and building a strong team culture.
