Member Service Representative

Our client, a leader in Healthcare, is seeking a contract Medicare Member Service Representative. This is a fully remote role following the initial 2-month onsite training in San Diego.Must live within a 2-hour drive of San Diego The Medicare Member Service Representative is responsible for account maintenance, billing, reconciliation, reporting, and customer service activities. This role supports membership, eligibility, billing accuracy, and internal operations through data management, customer interaction, and administrative support.Requirements:High School Diploma2+ years of Data Entry experience2+ years of Customer Service with phone experienceStrong proficiency in:MathData entryTypingSpelling and grammarProven customer service successAbility to analyze and solve quantitative and qualitative problemsClear and professional communication skillsPC/Windows computer experienceAbility to multitask and manage competing prioritiesStrong conflict resolution and decision-making abilitiesTeam oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to changePreferred skills:Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related fieldDaily Responsibilities:Identify, research, and reconcile billing and payment discrepanciesMaintain accurate member data (enrollments, corrections, retroactivity, terminations)Support member and eligibility inquiriesEnsure accurate and timely billingInteract with purchaser benefit administrators regarding health plan policies and contractsResolve membership, billing, and payment issuesAssist sales, service representatives, and purchaser contactsProcess payment discrepancies and delinquenciesIdentify, code, batch, scan, and index documents for imaging systemsProvide office support (mail handling, filing, supplies, photocopying, facilities tasks)Collaborate with internal and external customers and vendorsTrack productivity and customer service quality metricsParticipate in team projects and continuous improvement initiativesAssist with training as neededFacilitate communication across departments and lines of businessParticipate in purchaser performance evaluations and target settingPerform other duties as assigned
