Career Coach for Youth 171 - Perth Amboy, NJ Salary - $55,000 per year with Sign On Bonus $5,000 Responsibilities: Seeking a full time Career Coach to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide services to young adults (ages 18-24) in a transitional living program. Provide targeted employment and education case management in Somerset and Middlesex counties; supporting youth in developing goals related to post-secondary education, career development, and obtaining and maintaining a living wage. Form and maintain relationships with local employers, educational programs, and community resources to assist with employment-linkage; development of formal employer partnerships required. Influence, teach, motivate, engage, and support youth as well as be comfortable networking in the field, talking with potential employers, and passionate about supporting young adults in reaching their educational and employment goals. On-call and evening hours availability are required as part of the position. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Proficient in oral and written communication; bilingual Spanish preferred. Experience working in career development, job placement, or casework employment. Knowledge of education and employment resources for young adults in Middlesex and Somerset Counties is a plus. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Expected to travel within Middlesex and Somerset Counties. Flexible work schedule with some evenings required.
