(see E Ink │ Our Company)And we're looking for a Process Safety Engineer!Job Purpose:The Process Safety Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe design, operation, and continuous improvement of chemical and manufacturing processes. This role works in a supportive, team‐oriented environment, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and EH&S to promote a strong safety culture, support safe process design and change management, and drive continuous improvement across all shifts.Key Attributes:Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsEffective team player who actively supports and strengthens site safety culture in an innovative and inclusive engineering environmentAbility to work independently to identify hazards, prioritize risk reduction initiatives, and drive tasks to completionDetail oriented, pragmatic, approachable, and empathetic, with sound engineering judgmentCapable of taking a hands-on approach when addressing operational and process related safety needsJob Duties and Responsibilities:Engineer, implement, and sustain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems in partnership with Engineering and ManufacturingEvaluate the effectiveness of existing safety programs, procedures, and engineered safeguardsReview and assess process and equipment designs to identify hazards and recommend improvements that reduce risk and enhance operabilitySpecify, design, and validate engineering controls, safeguards, and interlocks in compliance with applicable machine and process safety standardsSupport capital projects by conducting safety reviews throughout the design and installation lifecycle (e.g., PSSR participation)Develop and deliver technical training materials to promote compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practicesLead and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) including HAZOP, What If, and other structured risk assessmentsInterface directly with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors; support inspections and lead corrective actions in collaboration with cross functional teamsProvide ongoing technical safety support to operations to reinforce safe work practices and strengthen safety cultureTrack incidents, near misses, and process safety events; perform root cause analyses; develop engineering based corrective actions; and communicate progress to stakeholdersRequirements:Must Haves:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical discipline); safety or process focused coursework preferred3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process operations, or high hazard industrial environmentsWorking knowledge of Process Safety Management (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119) and related methodologiesFamiliarity with machine and functional safety standards such as ISO 13849 and ANSI B11Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, logic diagrams, and process documentationKnowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations and agencies, including OSHA, EPA, and MADEPNice to Haves:Hands-on experience working directly with regulatory agencies on compliance, audits, or enforcement actionsFamiliarity with ISO management systems, including ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 9001 (Quality)Experience supporting Management of Change (MOC), Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), or Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)E Ink is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. The total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other variable pay components. The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
