Parks & Rec - Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker

Operates commercial landscape equipment, prunes and cuts trees and shrubs, preparation of high-quality athletic fields. Performs daily park and facility preparation. Performs semi-skilled repair maintenance, custodial activities and other related park maintenance tasks. Performs preventative maintenance on commercial/landscape equipment. Assist with special activities and volunteer events. Meets, greets, and assist the public with park questions and needs. Performs related tasks as required. Competency: Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Some knowledge of the safe use, operation and preventative maintenance of common automotive and mechanical equipment. Some knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. Some knowledge of the occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions involved in equipment operations. Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods occasionally under unfavorable weather conditions.
