The category will be changed to exempt/salary and the title will be changed to Assitant Manger of Operations upon successful completion of training.****Responsible for all aspects of the donor center in the absence of the Center ManagerResponsible to be proficient in all areas of the donor collection process.Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to the quality and safety of products, donors, and employeeWork with center leadership to develop action plans to maximize center efficiencyResponsible for all personnel functions including hiring, assignment and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions and termination, and the maintenance of all personnel recordsDetermine the adequacy and adjust inventory levels of all goods and supplies necessary for the operation of the donor centerConstruct and submit timely and accurate reports on a daily/weekly/monthly or as required basisCollaborate with the training department to ensure that staff training is facilitated and training goals are metDevelop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levelsManage and develop talent within the donor center. Participates in the selection of new staff for the donor centerParticipate in the interviewing of center staff and assists in the selection of center staffWork collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals. Communicate continuously and resolves conflicts proactivelyProvide timely feedback on performance and initiates disciplinary action when necessaryParticipate in the evaluation and review of center staffDirect and monitor the performance of outside vendorsLearn and maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company ProceduresThorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the futureMaintain an open line of communication with ManagementEnsure and maintain the confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center informationMaintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendorsAbility to accept performance feedback in a professional mannerRegular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetingsOther duties as assigned QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two (2) years relevant work experience including one (1) year experience in a supervisory position, preferably in a regulated industry or;Associate's Degree in Science or Business Management RequirementsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsDemonstrate discretion when dealing with confidential informationAbility to work on multiple projects concurrentlyAbility to work independently and manage deadlines efficientlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills Physical RequirementsUse hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearFrequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the kneeAbility to sit for extended periods for up to four (4) hours at a timeAbility to lift, tug, and pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds Work EnvironmentTypical work environment with moderate noise levelMay be exposed to freezing temperatures for short periods of timeOccupational exposure to bloodborne pathogensDisclaimerThis job description is construed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed.
