CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)

Putnam Ridge is a 160 bed Skilled Nursing and Post-acute Rehabilitation facility, located on beautiful Mount Ebo Road North in Brewster, NY.We are seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team working with our primarily geriatric population. Patience and kindness necessary.We have Full time, Part time, and Per Diem positions available for Day, Evening, and Night shifts. Your expertise can be utilized on one of our 4 units which include short term rehab, dementia and long term care.Up to $26.00 hourly!!!Payrate varies based on years of experience.Sign-on bonus for Full Time statusCNA Responsibilities Provides direct resident/patient care under the supervision of RN or LPN. Follow individualized resident plan of care. Performs duties such as: activities of daily living- bathing, dressing, assistance in nutrition and hydration, locomotion/ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming such as: comb/brush hair, nail care, shave. Bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper understanding of least restrictive device regulations, proper utilization of restraint devices, special care needs. Documents resident care accurately and legibly as per facility policy. Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN. Performs vital signs as directed. Performs tasks and responsibilities of assigned shift. Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment. Makes two hour and PRN rounds on all residents. Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens, nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned. Performs procedures outlined for Certified Nursing Assistants in the procedure manual. Assists in the psycho-social aspect of the resident by cross training in recreational therapy. Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice. Assist with transportation, if needed, to and from activities. Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary. Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (ie: setup of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space). Inform residents of various activities available to them even when Activities staff are not available.
