Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction:Robertson is seeking a skilled IT Architect II to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.Contract Period:5 monthsPay Rate:Starting from $68 per hourLocation:Toronto, ONLocation Type:HybridBusiness Hours:Monday-Friday; Core Business HoursJob Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of scalable, robust, and secure data processing solutions tailored to meet business requirementsEnsure alignment with our enterprise architecture strategiesOversee Workflow Management projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standardsCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analystsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of innovation and excellenceStay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in data processing, machine learning, and AIEvaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance our Workflow Management capabilitiesLead the implementation of efficient data processing pipelines and workflows, ensuring data is ingested, transformed, and analysed effectivelyEnsure all data processing activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policiesMaintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, project plans, and technical specifications. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and performance metricsExperience & Qualification Requirement:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProven experience as a Data Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role, preferably in the insurance or financial services industryStrong understanding of data processing platforms, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologiesExcellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExperience with intelligent data processing tools and platformsRelevant certifications in cloud architecture or data engineeringFamiliarity with data governance and regulatory compliance in the insurance industryBackground screening is required as part of the onboarding process.
