Mental Health Therapist

Paradox Therapy, PLLC is a growing practice dedicated to meeting the needs of marginalized communities who seek services for trauma and dialectical behavioral therapy. We are a multi-specialty, private group practice serving teens and adults remotely in the state of Washington. This practice serves clients looking for affirming and supportive care from passionate clinicians using behavioral and other evidence-based techniques. We value social justice, feminist, and anti-oppression approaches to therapeutic work.This is a collaborative team environment designed to support you in your work and professional growth. We strongly encourage individuals who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ backgrounds to apply.We are looking for both associate and fully-licensed clinicians (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC) with a specialty in treating trauma, teens, perinatal populations, athlete mental health, parent coaching, eating disorders, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.Clinicians who are pursuing their own private practice alongside group practice with Paradox Therapy will not be a good fit for this position.Required Qualifications• Align with the values of this group practice.• Master’s degree in social work or counseling psychology.• Active, license in good standing (e.g., LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or associate-level) in the state of Washington (must be fully-licensed by start date).• Successfully pass a background check.• Specialized experience in treating trauma and/or working with QT-BIPOC communities.• Access to technology and privacy to provide online therapy.• Demonstrated commitment toward social justice and anti-oppression.• Strong interpersonal skills.• Able to communicate in a timely matter to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.• Value continued supervision and clinical consultation for feedback and opportunities to grow.• Committed to working in a group practice for long term.Preferred Qualifications• Foundational or advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.• Overarching approach to the therapeutic process that includes trauma-informed care, considerations for minority stress and intersectional identities, affirming care of gender and sexual minorities, and dedicated to multicultural humility.• Past experience working in community mental health or agency settings.• Theoretical orientation including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Evidenced-Based Trauma therapies, Mindfulness, Health at Every Size, Exposure Response Prevention.• Proof of completion of a WA state Telemental health training that meets Telemedicine Requirements outlined in RCW 43.70.495.• Proof of completion of training in HIPAA Privacy and Security standards.
