Commercial Hvac Technician

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team in the greater West Palm Beach area. The HVAC Technician will manage, repair, and service the HVAC systems across our commercial portfolio. Our properties encompass commercial office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities. In this role, you will be our dedicated, in-house HVAC expert. You will focus heavily on preventative maintenance, rapid diagnostic troubleshooting, and system optimization to maximize equipment lifespans and ensure tenant comfort in the demanding South Florida climate. Responsibilities HVAC Diagnostics & Repair System Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and service commercial DX split systems, package units, rooftop units (RTUs), and exhaust fans. Component Replacement: Replace faulty compressors, fan motors, belts, metering devices, and digital control boards. Preventative Maintenance & Climate Control Scheduled Servicing: Execute comprehensive quarterly maintenance, including coil cleaning, filter replacements, drain line flushing, and electrical amp-draw checks. Emergency Response Emergency Dispatch: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to handle after-hours HVAC emergencies and maintain climate control for critical tenant spaces. Company Vehicle & Tools: Vehicle: Company vehicle provided Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of dedicated commercial HVAC service and repair experience. Licensing: EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) is mandatory. Strong ability to read electrical schematics, wire diagrams, and piping layouts. Mobility: Valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record to operate a company service vehicle across local properties. Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs, climb extension ladders to access roofs, and work safely in high-temperature outdoor conditions.
