DescriptionWyatt Refrigeration is seeking a Construction Laborer for Industrial Refrigeration to assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems and equipment. This role involves physical labor, using hand tools, and following safety protocols.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the installation of refrigeration systems:This may involve handling and moving equipment, materials, and tools; helping with the placement of components; and assisting with the installation of pipes, ducts, and wiring.Material HandlingLoading, unloading, and transporting materials to the job site; organizing and managing materials at the work area; and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials.Site PreparationCleaning and clearing the construction site; removing debris and obstacles; and preparing the work area for installation.Basic Maintenance And RepairsPerforming basic maintenance tasks on refrigeration equipment; assisting with repairs; and identifying potential problems.Using Hand ToolsOperating hand tools like wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and other tools necessary for refrigeration work.Following Safety ProtocolsAdhering to safety procedures; wearing appropriate safety gear; and maintaining a safe working environment.Learning And Developing SkillsAcquiring knowledge and experience in the field of industrial refrigeration; learning new techniques and procedures; and improving skills over time.Communication And CollaborationWorking closely with supervisors and other tradespeople; communicating effectively; and collaborating on tasks.QualificationsRequired Skills and Attributes:Physical StaminaThis role requires physical strength and endurance, as it involves lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials and equipment.Basic Mechanical AptitudeA basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with hand tools is necessary.Ability To Follow InstructionsAbility to read and follow technical instructions and blueprints; and to follow safety procedures.Teamwork And CommunicationAbility to work as part of a team; communicate effectively; and collaborate with other tradespeople.Attention To DetailAbility to pay attention to detail; ensure proper installation; and identify potential problems.Safety ConsciousA strong emphasis on safety practices and the ability to work safely in a construction environment.Willingness To LearnA willingness to learn new skills and procedures; and to advance in the field of industrial refrigeration.
