CDL Driver

Department: GL6 WarehouseLocation: SMCDescriptionFII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a CDL Driver (Yard Switcher) to support warehouse and logistics operations by safely transporting trailers throughout company facilities and off-site warehouse locations. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Warehouse Department in a production/warehouse environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.The CDL Driver (Yard Switcher) will coordinate trailer movements, support shipping and receiving operations, and ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations while assisting this Warehouse Department as needed.ResponsibilitiesSafely move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated yard locationsTransport trailers between company facilities and off-site warehouse locations as requiredPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptlyMaintain accurate records of trailer locations, movements, and yard inventoryCoordinate with warehouse personnel, dispatch teams, and drivers to support efficient operational flowEnsure trailers are properly secured and positioned for loading and unloading activitiesOperate yard tractors, tractor-trailers, and related equipment in a safe and professional mannerMonitor yard conditions and maintain organized trailer placement to maximize efficiency and safetySupport shipping and receiving operations by ensuring timely trailer availabilityFollow all DOT regulations, company policies, and transportation safety proceduresMaintain compliance with vehicle inspection requirements and documentation standardsRespond promptly to changing operational priorities and transportation needsAssist with inventory and logistics activities as needed to support warehouse operationsPromote a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe conditionsOther Duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredValid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) requiredMinimum 2–3 years of yard switching, shuttle driving, tractor-trailer driving, or related experience requiredClean driving record with the ability to pass DOT drug screening and background checkKnowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety proceduresExperience operating yard tractors and tractor-trailers in warehouse or manufacturing environments preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch teams, and driversAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snowAbility to sit, stand, walk, climb, and enter/exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as requiredAbility to work flexible schedules, including overtime as needed to support operational requirementsReasons you should work for us:Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.Basic life insurance and short-term disability coverage provided by employer.Supplemental life insurance and long-term disability coverage options available.401K with employer contribution.Personal, Vacation, and Holiday paid time off for all full-time employees.Onsite Aurora Health & Wellness Center available for all employees.Employees are continuously encouraged to learn and grow their careers in smart manufacturing.
