Facilities Engineering Lead
About the Role
As a Facilities Engineering Lead, you will oversee the operational integrity and reliability of large-scale industrial warehouse environments. You will drive performance by managing complex maintenance programs, optimizing equipment uptime, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Direct daily maintenance operations and lead technical teams to achieve high-performance facility objectives.
Manage departmental budgets, analyze financial variances, and execute capital improvement projects from planning to vendor oversight.
Develop and refine preventive maintenance strategies to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of material handling and utility systems.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA, PSM, and municipal mechanical/electrical codes to maintain a secure working environment.
Implement comprehensive energy management plans to improve utility utilization and reduce operational costs.
Analyze maintenance performance metrics to identify trends and initiate actionable improvement plans for equipment reliability.
Mentor staff through individual development planning to build a highly skilled and technically proficient maintenance team.
Qualifications
Required Skills
5-7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with 3+ years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Proven expertise in ammonia refrigeration systems and food/beverage manufacturing environments.
Strong proficiency in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and warehouse facility management.
Demonstrated ability to manage safety policies and federal/state regulatory compliance.
Preferred Skills
Associate degree or higher in facility maintenance or a related engineering field.
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation.
Completion of RETA coursework or CARO/CIRO certifications.
