Job Description: Sorts and organizes freight Operate various types of material handling equipment Sort, repack, and label freight Identify unusable pallets Basic ability to read, count and use RF Scanner technology (training provided) Remove items from sorting bins, scan and place onto conveyer belt Remove items from packing bins, scan items using RF Scanner for accuracy, produce packing list and bag items Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with customer standard operating procedures. (eg. bailers, trash compactors, shrink wrappers, etc.) Maintains work area in a clean and hazard free condition Computer Savvy– use of Scan gun/recording data required Audit off pallet and restack onto another pallet for outbound shipment Pay Range: $20 Pay Scale: Not Applicable Job Requirements: Read work order instructions to determine work assignments or materials or equipment needs when necessary Identify and maintain safety awareness in a noisy and fast-paced warehouse work environment Flexible and adaptable to changing work assignments, based on customer needs and manager assignments Lift approximately 20lbs when needed Ability to identify and monitor pallet quality with corresponding paperwork as assigned Ability to stand, to walk, and work on feet for majority or all of shift Ability to read customer labels accurately to complete assignments Ability to distinguish different colors to perform assigned duties Properly handle all products, if assigned, in accordance with food safety and warehouse safety guidelines Maintain a clean work environment throughout shift, and at times helping to keep debris clear and manageable in support of operations Ability to work in controlled climate (freezer) up to 0 degrees.
