Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.As Principal, Portfolio Strategy Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping how SIE translates strategy into actionable investment decisions across a global portfolio of Hardware, Software and Services. As a partner to teams and executives in Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Platform Business Office, Program Management and more, you will have to navigate and align competing priorities and perspectives. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio, evolve and implement a data-informed portfolio management framework, and build trusted partnerships throughout the organization to help evaluate trade-offs and optimize portfolio balance and value.Responsibilities:Gain a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio and its programs and develop deep insights to generate actionable recommendationsEnsure the portfolio reflects the right strategic investment mix and priorities to achieve business objectivesStandardize and improve performance measurement practices across the portfolio in partnership with data science & analytics teamsProvide stakeholders with actionable insights and trade-off recommendations to optimize resource allocationRefine and lead execution of a value realization framework leveraging KPIs and ROI to assess programs and portfolio performancePartner with cross-functional leaders to align priorities, resolve trade-offs, and enable executive decision-making through a structured process with clear ownershipPartner with the broader Portfolio and Program Management team to mature and scale portfolio management capabilities through frameworks, processes, and toolsLead organizational change management to educate stakeholders and embed consistent portfolio practices that result in stronger accountability, faster execution, and better business outcomesRequired skills and qualifications:Bachelor's degree in science, economics or related field; advanced degree a plus12+ years of experience in portfolio management, finance, strategic planning or product management, within a technology-driven and/or customer-first environmentExperience in the gaming industry a plusProven success leading strategic planning for large-scale, complex, multi-billion-dollar portfoliosStrong understanding of portfolio management principles and practicesCreative problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and creates clarity through structured thinkingStrong analytical mindset with the ability to balance data-driven rigor and strategic judgmentTrack record of building and implementing effective performance measurement and value realization frameworksExcellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear executive insightsExceptional ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across diverse functionsExperience driving organizational transformation and change managementThe estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.$220,900 - $331,300 USDSony Interactive Entertainment conducts background checks at the offer stage for all new employees (which may include criminal background checks for some roles) and will need to process personal information to support these checks.Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
