Batch Chemical Process Technician
What your weekend looks like
It’s 6:00 a.m. on Friday and your three-day, 12-hour shift begins. You start by reviewing the production schedule and Batch Records, confirming raw materials and the correct order of addition. You inspect containers—inside and out—per ContainerInspection and filling S.O.P., and clean reactors ahead of manufacturing, following GMP SOP’s for Recordkeeping and Manufacturing Equipment Cleaning and Inspection. Prescribed PPE is on (as outlined in the Production Worksheet and PPE Certifications) as you blend, filter, and package liquid products into non-bulk containers to meet exacting customer standards.
Before any bulk movement, you examine tank trucks, then load or unload strictly by Tank Truck Bulk Loading, Tank Truck Unloading, and Railcar Unloading SOPs. You keep the production area spotless and safe, complete weekly area inspections, maintain filter and other logs, and submit checklists on time. You clean totes per procedure, document product service and tote testing in the prism tote tracking system, and open Maximo service requests for equipment needing repair. You keep skills fresh by checking Catalyst weekly for training due dates and you attend required sessions—Emergency Response Team, RCRA, regulatory, health & safety, and process training—unless you’re absent from work. Throughout, you uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence for facilities, products, and service.
