Senior Human Factors Specialist - 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

About the Team Based out of our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, our Human Factors team consists of a small group of Subject Matter Experts and sits part of the wider Specialty Engineering function. The team work on a variety of Defence-related projects, committed to achieving RDA's goals of significant contribution to Australia's Defence Capability. About the Role As the Senior Human Factors Specialist, you apply your deep Human Factors expertise to some of the most complex and high-impact Defence projects in Australia. Reporting into the Principal Human Factors Specialist, you will be tasked with the execution of the Human Factors Engineering Program for one or more projects at various stages of the Product Development Lifecycle. The successful candidate will be expected to perform Human Factors analyses and reports independently to guide the design of our products, ensuring human safety and performance. The successful candidate will also contribute significantly to contractual deliverables including training packages, maintenance manuals and support other members of the team with document review and mentoring. The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: A relevant degree in Human Factors (Psychology, Ergonomics, Engineering, etc.);Proven application of Human Factors standards and experience with requirements;Knowledge and proven experience of applying and advising of Human Factors methodologies;Previous Defence or Automotive industry experience in delivering complex platforms/systems (highly desired); andEligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
