Mig/Tig Welder on 1st ShiftBAUER WELDING & METAL FABRICATORS - MOUNDS VIEW, MN 55112Salary Range $21.00 - $27.00 Hourly Position Type Full TimeDescriptionPurpose and Description:To produce quality parts using a variety of welding processes.Shift: 1st Monday – Thursday, 5am – 3:30pmMajor Responsibilities:Operate robotic welders and plasma cutter. Program robotic weldersHand weld (MIG, TIG, Plasma cutting, Brazing)Follow quality procedures and document as necessaryInspection of parts using a variety of measuring toolsOther Responsibilities:Use positioners for hand weldingWash partsTest partsInspection documentationProcess job packets accurately using a computerMaintain confidentiality of customer information in blue prints used or designed by BauerAdhere to all safety policiesMaintain commitment to safety, ethics and professionalismDemonstrate the company core values of Taking Ownership, Striving for Greatness and Showing Our Customers We CareQualificationsDesired Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills /Abilities:Vocational training in welding processesExperience welding round stockRobotic welding experienceAbility to weld cosmetically with attention to detailAbility to read and understand blueprintsUnderstanding and use of math skills including fractions and decimalsAccurate use of measuring equipment such as tapes and calipersAccurate documentationVersatilityAbility to work under pressure against tight deadlinesProblem solving skillsAnalytical abilityCommunication and interpersonal skillsDexterityPhysical Requirements and Environment:May require frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.Some time working near moving mechanical partsMajority of time standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, carrying, pushing, pullingHandling, speaking, hearing, seeing, color vision, depth perceptionRotation of more physically demanding regular parts, which may include long term runsIndoor, seasonally air-conditioned and heated, machine shop environmentFrequent noiseFrequent exposure to chemicals, dirt, oils, solvents, paints, dustEye, hand and hearing protection are required in the production area (employer provided)Must pass pre-placement drug screen before starting employmentTools and Equipment:Welding helmet (employee required to provide)Leathers (optional -employee provided)Welding machines and robotsWelding torches and tipsMeasuring equipmentParts washing equipmentHand tools - 6" inch caliper, Hammer (rubber/soft head), ball peen hammer, Allen wrenches (metric and standard), Screwdrivers (standard and Phillips), Crescent wrench, Pliers (needle nose), Vice grip, "C" clamps
