Account Manager – Decorative Films and MaterialsLocation: Home Base (Preferably MI, OH, or MN area)Industry: Functional Films / Advanced MaterialsA leading Japanese manufacturer of functional films and materials is seeking an Account Manager to join its expanding U.S. team. This role is responsible for maintaining and growing sales of decorative material products for architectural applications (furniture, interior, building materials decorative films) across the United States and emerging markets in the Americas.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow existing customer accounts while developing new business opportunities through strong relationships and superior customer servicePerform all aspects of sales activities, including customer support, sales presentations, sample development, order processing, production coordination, and after-sales follow-upAct as the primary point of contact for customers’ Purchasing, Quality, R&D, Design, and Logistics teamsCoordinate closely with the Tokyo office to manage the full process from pre-production through manufacturing and deliveryDevelop and execute sales and marketing strategies to expand product adoption and market presenceResearch industry and design trends to support the development of new, marketable designs and colorsConduct market research, prepare reports, and identify potential new clients and industriesTravel domestically and internationally to visit customers and attend trade showsPrepare sales reports, quotations, contracts, and related business correspondencePerform additional duties as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years of outside sales and/or marketing experience.Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategiesSelf-motivated with strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skillsAbility to travel within the U.S. and abroadValid driver’s license and ability to use a personal vehicle for business purposesJapanese language skills are a strong plus, but not required
