Family Engagement Coordinator

First Step Family Support Center has an opening for a full-time bilingual Family Engagement Coordinator position in Clallam County . First Step Family Support Center is growing and seeking to add a Family Engagement Coordinator to our team. This staff member will, in partnership with agency leadership, launch and coordinate the new Parent & Children’s Leadership Training Institute (PCLTI) program (30-50% of role), facilitate parent advisory committees within the agency (20% of role), and support the Family Well-Being teams with administrative and programmatic support as needed (+/-50% of role). Primary Duties Include: Community Engagement and Representation: Serve as the primary representative for First Step and the PCLTI, embodying the organization’s core values and dedication to parent engagement and leadership. Program Coordination: Launch & oversee daily operations of the PCLTI Program and advisory groups. Coordinate logistics, including meals, child care, and guest speakers. Prepare materials, assist with community projects, plan local graduations, and manage administrative tasks efficiently. Record-Keeping and Data Management: Maintain accurate and timely records for programs and advisory groups. Manage program databases: enter data, generate reports, and create recordkeeping systems. Grant and Reporting Support: Assist with grant applications and reporting: analyze data, run reports, and gather necessary information. Monitor grant compliance and measure program outcomes for reporting purposes. Marketing and Communication: Create program flyers and promotional materials. Assist with social media and other marketing resources. Additional Duties: Front Desk Support: Answer phones, take messages, greet guests, and handle various administrative tasks. Order and Delivery Management: Receive, process, and manage orders and deliveries. Donation Handling: Accept, transport, and organize donations between buildings. Program Support: Assist with tasks such as transferring resources, supporting clients and staff, sorting donations, and organizing the clothing closet. Errands: Run errands as requested. Special Projects: Contribute to community events, staff meetings, and other special projects. Requirements: Software Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other agency-specific software. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to address challenges and facilitate solutions with groups. Human Relations: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication in a diverse environment. Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication; strong project management. Relevant Knowledge: Understanding of family support principles, child development, and Strengthening Families Protective Factors. Experience: Background in working with family, youth, and children programs. Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in confined spaces, sit at a computer for extended periods, and move objects up to 25 pounds up and down stairs. Travel: Willingness to travel within Clallam and Jefferson Counties. Travel to PCLTI training will be required, and likely out of state. Attendance: Regular, predictable attendance is essential. Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license, willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and pass a criminal background check.
