Job DescriptionBorsheims is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. This role is essential in delivering our Signature Service to every customer.The Accounts Payable Associate supports the accounting team by accurately processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payment of company obligations. This role is responsible for reviewing invoices for accuracy, maintaining proper documentation, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with month?end close activities. The Accounts Payable Associate works closely with internal teams and vendors to support efficient financial operations and maintain strong vendor relationships.Job DutiesReview and process vendor invoices to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and correct general ledger codingMatch invoices to purchase orders and packing slips and resolve discrepancies as neededProcess payments timely to meet deadlines, capture discounts, and maintain positive vendor relationshipsReview and process expense invoices, prepaid expenses, and use tax when applicableReconcile vendor statements and resolve billing issues, credits, or discrepanciesReview corporate credit card transactions and employee expense reports for accuracy and policy complianceMaintain vendor records in the accounting system, including new vendor setup and required documentationAssist with month?end and year?end close activities, including accrualsSupport audits, consignment reconciliations, and other accounting projects as assignedRequired ExperienceAssociate's degree in Accounting or a related field or 1-3 years of accounts payable experienceBasic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processesExperience reviewing, processing, and reconciling invoices preferredProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and TeamsFamiliarity with ERP or accounting systems preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial dataAbility to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organizedEffective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teamsEssential Job FunctionsAbility to work assigned schedule on a regular basis.Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.Ability to see well enough to read small print and read a computer screen and printout.Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse with others in person, via telephone and paging system.Ability to move about the store from department to department, get behind narrow counter areas, bend down, or reach up into drawers/shelves, and to climb a ladder to retrieve files from shelves.Dexterity to write in small print, operate a computer keyboard, and operate office equipment.Stamina to sit for over eight hours.BenefitsBorsheims is a luxury jewelry and gift retailer and a proud member of the Berkshire Hathaway family.
