Doctor of Medicine | Psychiatry - General/Other Location: Tuskegee, AL Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 248 Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Our client is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist Physician in Alabama for a 248-day assignment beginning Jun 15, 2026. This vital role focuses on direct patient care with an 8am-4:30pm schedule, encompassing a broad scope of inpatient and outpatient psychiatry services, including patient diagnosis, treatment planning, and managing a consistent daily patient load. Responsibilities and Duties Provide direct patient care, estimated at 90% of duties. Collaborate with Mental Health staff for inpatient care, including operating and collaborating physician patients, seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients, admitting, diagnosing patients, developing treatment plans, managing timely treatment, and facilitating discharge/transfer with all required medical record documentation. Manage outpatient care, seeing all new patient referrals with accompanying medical records, severely mentally ill patients, evaluation disposition E-consults, and post-discharge follow-up for patients within 30 days. Deliver clinical psychiatry services for clinic and residential care, operating the clinic, examining patients, and interpreting reports as required. Maintain a patient caseload of approximately 6 to 6.5 bookable hours per day. Additional Information EMR: CPRS Cases include a wide range of inpatient and outpatient presentations, with frequent veteran-specific issues such as anxiety disorders, PTSD, and major depressive disorders.
