Material Handler

*Responsibilities*
* Safely load and unload materials using various equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes.
* Operate material handling equipment following OSHA safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual methods to ensure timely shipment.
* Manage inventory by conducting regular stock counts, updating records, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
* Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage.
* Handle manual lifting of heavy materials while adhering to safety guidelines for heavy lifting and manual handling.
* Support warehouse operations by organizing storage areas, loading docks, and staging zones for efficient workflow.
*Experience*
* Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and load & unload machinery.
* Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners is advantageous.
* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse activities and materials handling.
* Proven skills in order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and manual handling techniques.
* Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse logistics is a plus but not required.
* Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements.
