As a lead floater, you will be doing breaks and substituting for teachers while they are out.Pay starts between $16.00-18.00 based on education and experienceAfter the probation period, we do evaluations every 60 days. If you meet all requirements for our program, you will be able to get a raise at each evaluation. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist. Benefits:All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.Paid HolidaysBirthday off with payWe will help you obtain your CDA (Child Development Associate)Responsibilities:Help teachers in multiple classrooms implement lesson plansEmploy a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach childrenObserve each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteemEncourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional argumentsGuide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)Collaborate with other educators.Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.Desired Skills and Experience:Experience working in a licensed childcare facilityChild development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential systemExcellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methodsFamiliarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classroomsExcellent communication and instructional skillsAbility to act as a mediator between childrenCool-tempered, friendly, and reliableCertification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
