FACILITY TECHNICIANJob Summary:The Facility Technician performs a wide range of maintenance, custodial, and facility support duties to ensure company buildings and equipment remain safe, functional, and well maintained. This role conducts routine inspections and preventative maintenance, performs general repairs, coordinates vendors, supports event set-up, and promotes a safe, compliant workplace.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, works independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while contributing to continuous facility improvement.Responsibilities and Duties:Broad variety of duties associated with maintaining company facilities, office spaces, and shop areasConduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities and equipmentCustodial duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and removal of trash and recyclingGeneral facility organization and restocking of suppliesCoordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendorsInstallation and maintenance of office furnishings and fixturesVehicle inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, equipment inspectionsTransportation of items between facilitiesSupport set up and breakdown of furniture for company eventsUtilize work order system for work assignments and to log activitiesIdentify and propose opportunities to improve facilities and equipmentUphold safety standards and protocols, promoting a secure and hazard-free workplaceSpecific COVID cleaning measures to ensure proper sanitization of high-use areasSpecial assignments as assignedRequired Qualifications and Skills:High school diplomaMinimum 2 years of experience in a related fieldHigh attention to detail, detail orientedAbility to work with both power and basic hand toolsFamiliar with operating a forklift, scissor lift, and other heavy equipmentFamiliar with loading, unloading, and driving with trailersComfortable working on ladders or other high areas such as on lifts or on roovesGood mechanical aptitude, comfortable working with your handsAbility to multi-task and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasksAbility to plan and prioritize tasks in a focused work environment and maintain high levels of efficiency without direct supervisionProven ability to analyze and solve problems.
