Drools Developer

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Drools Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of business rules management systems (BRMS) and experience using Drools to automate complex business rules. This role requires a mix of technical expertise in Java development and Drools rule engine implementation, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.Key Responsibilities:Develop, design, and implement business rules using the Drools BRMS.Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.Optimize and maintain Drools rules, ensuring high performance and scalability.Integrate Drools with other applications and systems as needed.Debug, test, and troubleshoot issues related to Drools implementation.Provide technical guidance and best practices for Drools-based solutions within the team.Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.Document Drools rule configurations and maintain version control.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of hands-on experience with Drools, including development, integration, and performance optimization.Proficiency in Java development (Java 8 or higher), including knowledge of Java frameworks.Experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, or other microservices architecture.Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with rule management in a high-volume, scalable environment.Knowledge of additional BRMS tools or frameworks (e.g., jBPM).Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).Experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL.
