This is an opportunity to create the systems, workflows, controls, and team structure that ensure every client dollar moves accurately, compliantly, and on time.You’ll start as both a builder and operator, creating the payment infrastructure in a scaling environment, then transitioning into oversight, optimization, and team leadership as the business grows.If you thrive in highly regulated environments, think in systems, and love turning operational complexity into scalable processes, this role is built for you.Why This Role Is DifferentOwn the full payment lifecycle across a hybrid debt resolution modelBuild workflows spanning enrollment, funding, settlement disbursements, and fee collectionCreate the control environment for ACH, NACHA, TSR, and state compliancePartner closely with other departmentsBuild the future payment operations team structureHigh-impact role with direct influence on client experience and operational scaleWhat You’ll Build & LeadPayment Infrastructure & System DesignDesign and implement the end-to-end payment processing frameworkDefine payment workflows, scheduling logic, and transition rules across all program phasesPartner cross-functionally to translate payment requirements into automation, system logic, and integrationsEstablish scalable processes that reduce manual intervention and support growthPayment Operations OversightOversee the complete payment lifecycle, including client payments, dedicated account funding, settlement disbursements, fee collection, and refund processingEnsure all transactions are executed accurately, timely, and in accordance with compliance standardsMonitor daily payment activity and quickly resolve operational issuesNSF & Payment Failure StrategyDesign structured escalation and recovery workflows for failed paymentsBuild compliant retry and communication strategiesAnalyze systemic vs. client-specific failure trendsDrive initiatives to improve payment success and recovery ratesSettlement Payment ManagementOversee timely disbursements to creditorsEnsure proper sequencing of settlement payments and fee collection aligned to TSR timing requirementsMaintain highly accurate records and confirmationsCompliance & Financial ControlsEnsure compliance with TSR regulations, ACH / NACHA rules, and state-specific requirementsBuild internal controls, approval workflows, audit trails, and reconciliation standardsPartner cross-functionally on audits, reviews, and reportingIdentify and mitigate operational and financial riskReporting & Performance VisibilityDefine dashboards and KPIs for payment success rates, NSF trends, recovery rates, reconciliation timeliness, and disbursement SLAsUse data trends to drive process optimization and leadership visibilityBuilding & LeadershipBuild SOPs, controls, and training standardsEstablish performance expectations and quality metricsCreate a scalable support structure as payment volume growsVendor & External Partner ManagementManage relationships with payment processors and dedicated account vendorsMonitor SLAs, escalations, and service performanceEnsure operational alignment with external partners and system integrationsWhat We’re Looking For3+ years leading payment operations in debt settlement, debt resolution, or regulated financial servicesDeep expertise in ACH / NACHA rules, return codes, retry workflows, and reconciliationStrong knowledge of TSR fee timing requirementsExperience with dedicated account structures and settlement disbursement workflowsProven success building or improving payment processes in a scaling environmentStrong systems thinking with exceptional operational disciplineHighly detail-oriented with strong ownership mindsetPayment integrations with CRM ecosystemsBuilding SOPs and training operational teams from the ground upPreferred Experience:Hands-on experience with ForthPay or comparable payment platformsThird-party account providers such as GCS or ReliantAdvanced Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and reportingWhat Success Looks LikeSuccess in this role means:High payment accuracy and fast reconciliation cyclesImproved payment success and recovery ratesReduced NSF volume through better retry and communication workflowsStrong compliance readiness and audit integrityScalable payment operations that grow without increased error ratesWhy Join Resolution Processing?This is an opportunity to build the payments engine behind a scaling financial services platform.
