Food Service Cafeteria Manager
Summary Of PositionProvide support to the food services department at any assigned location withspecific responsibilities for preparing and serving food to students and otherpersonnel while maintaining safe and sanitary conditions. Assist the Food ServicesDepartment with all aspects of ordering and inventory, learn the PoS cashiersystem, and provide support where needed throughout the Westfield WashingtonSchool DistrictQualifications Ability to safely and properly operate equipment found in commercial kitchens Ability to adhere to safety practices Ability to read and follow recipes (multi-step written and oral instructions) Possess basic cooking and cleaning skillsFull time availability M-F 7:00am to 3:00pm is required Sensitivity and respect for people of various backgrounds, cultures, experiences,and socioeconomic situations Must be able to obtain a food handler's card within 2 weeks of hire as well assuccessful completion of background check/clearance if applicableResponsibilitiesOversee the breakfast and lunch service of all Westfield Washington students.Maintain records and logs compliant with state and federal regulations. Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, production records andKitchen Lead, General Manager of Food Service, and/or other on-site/visitingManagement instruction. Serves meals to students, staff, parents, etc. and ensures lines are stocked. Ensures quality of prepared food based on Westfield Washington standards andmandated health standards. Maintains equipment, serving utensils, storage areas, food preparation andserving areas in a sanitary condition. Inventories food, condiments, supplies, etc. Assist with receiving, checking temperatures, and putting away deliveries. Ensure kitchen is sanitary at end of the day to include but not limited todishwashing, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing work/prep/serving stations, dusting,etc. Merchandises food and beverage items according to Westfield Washingtonstandards. Follows all safety protocols. Cross train in all roles of the cafeteria and fill in when needed to ensure staffcoverage and smooth service (i.e. cashiering).Assist in moving products as needed between schools inside the district.
