Review the volunteer opportunity description and scheduling needs below carefully before applying.Hours & LocationLocation: 500 Westchester Avenue, West Harrison, NY 10604Shifts available: Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM, 12 PM - 3 PM, 3 PM - 6 PM.No weekend shifts are available.Please indicate all shifts you are available for in your application.Volunteer OpportunitySeeking long-term volunteers available for a weekly 3-hour shift at our outpatient facility in West Harrison, NY. Volunteers will support the chemo infusion area and/or serve as greeters in the lobby providing navigation and information support.As a volunteer, you may:Offer a warm welcome by greeting patients, families, and visitors when they arrive.Provide general support to patients and staff in the chemo unit: round patient rooms and provide non-clinical needs (blankets, drinks, ice, etc.).Support waiting room as Greeter: escort patients to appointments, wheelchair retrieval and transport at entrances, round to various areas to assist as needed.Who We're Looking ForAge 16+Able to commit to a weekly 3-hour shift for at least 6 monthsMust be flexible and willing to support various areas based on daily needs, as directed by Volunteer SupervisorIf you are a former or current MSK patient, you must be out of active treatment for at least one yearFriendly, reliable, and comfortable engaging with patients, families, and staffOnboarding Process(average 4-6 weeks)Virtual interview (based on scheduling needs and program fit)2-3 reference checksBackground check & drug screen (18+ only)Medical clearance (flu and other immunizations required; at applicant's expense)*To stay active in the program, onboarding must be completed within 30 days.Please NoteThis is an unpaid volunteer role.
