Job Description Description:SummaryFollowing the mission of The Blake School and the core purposes of the athletic department, the head girls hockey coach will direct, serve and coordinate the Blake School Girls Hockey program.The Blake Girls Hockey Program competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference, which is part of the Minnesota State High School League.Requirements:Job DutiesPlanning and coordinating of all schedules and practicePlayer developmentAssist in selection of assistant coachesAssist in aspects of growing the game within our communityProvide on and off-ice training opportunities that include instruction, management and teaching of all student athletesOrganizing game scouting and planningCommunicating to players and parentsGuiding players interested in collegiate hockey through the processOther duties as assigned by the Athletic DirectorThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:Strong knowledge of hockeyExperience coaching with demonstrated success at the high school or collegiate levelPassion for working with the high school athleteAbility to balance team building with individual skill buildingIntegrity and fairnessA vision for the hockey program
