About the Role:Boden Talent is proud to be partnering with our client to recruit an experienced Area General Manager (Facilities Director). In this role, you will lead a regional team responsible for delivering strategic objectives and driving growth across a defined portfolio. Operating within a senior leadership capacity, you will oversee service delivery, commercial performance, and operational excellence aligned with our client’s wider business goals.What You’ll Do:Provide strong leadership, coaching, and strategic direction across a portfolio of accounts, ensuring contractual commitments are consistently met and exceeded.Identify and deliver opportunities for portfolio growth, increasing revenue, profitability, and service scope while supporting contract renewals.Ensure effective and efficient staffing structures across all accounts, balancing cost optimisation with service excellence and employee engagement.Implement robust governance, audit, and compliance frameworks to meet regulatory, policy, and contractual obligations.Maintain regular presence across account sites and provide support to Account Leaders where required.Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a customer-focused approach across all operational activities, including leading formal review meetings.Support business development activities, including solution design, client presentations, and hosting site visits.Lead the mobilisation of new accounts, ensuring a seamless transition from sales through to operations.Collaborate with senior operational leaders to drive business performance, foster teamwork, and promote a high-performing culture.Ensure effective communication across all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, suppliers, and partners.Champion employee engagement initiatives and diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives across the portfolio.Undertake additional responsibilities as required.People Leadership:Create a high-performance culture with a strong focus on learning, development, and continuous improvement.Ensure teams are fully trained, competent, and supported to reach their full potential.Take ownership of hiring and onboarding senior account leadership roles.Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and performance management to drive engagement and service excellence.Develop and maintain robust succession plans across the portfolio.Finance & Commercial:Hold full P&L responsibility across the portfolio, including financial planning, cost control, revenue growth, and performance against targets.Ensure all business policies and processes are effectively implemented.Drive strong financial governance through accurate reporting and controls.Oversee commercial processes, including purchase order approvals and financial compliance.Support supply chain management, including supplier performance, negotiations, and re-tendering opportunities.Maximise growth opportunities through additional works and project delivery within existing accounts.QHSE:Promote and maintain a safe and compliant working environment across all accounts.Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are effectively implemented across service lines and supply partners.Leadership & Management Responsibilities:Provide direct leadership to teams within your region.Support recruitment, performance management, and employee development.Monitor workforce planning, utilisation, and productivity.Conduct performance reviews and support career progression.Lead by example, demonstrating behaviours aligned with our client’s values.What You’ll Need:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience including people management.Strong commercial acumen with advanced financial and analytical skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.Ability to interpret complex business information and make strategic decisions.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate in complex environments.Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.Willingness to travel for site visits, meetings, and events.
