This role plays a key part in providing excellent service while maintaining an organized and safe yard environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist customers with orders and returns while providing exceptional customer servicePull and stage orders accurately by item type, style, and quantityOperate forklift to load/unload trucks and rail cars; verify counts and inspect for damageAssist drivers with loading and unloading materials, ensuring loads are safely secured for deliveryRestock inventory and return materials to proper locationsComplete required paperwork (orders filled, materials received, forklift inspections)Maintain a clean, organized yard and follow all safety proceduresAssist with snow removal and ice control during winter monthsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED6+ months forklift experience preferred6+ months experience with building materials (construction, retail, or sales) preferredBasic math, communication, and computer skills (MS Office/basic systems)Knowledge of safe lifting techniquesPhysical Requirements:Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbsAbility to work with others to lift items over 75 lbsFrequent walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and reachingAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsIf you're dependable, safety-focused, and enjoy working outdoors in a team environment, we encourage you to apply.
