As a Carton Maker in the Bindery Department, you will be responsible for operating all sections of the carton maker. What will you do in this role? Operate all sections of the carton maker. Check production schedules to determine the next job to be run. Rotate inventory as needed and maintain cleanliness of inventory area. Verify proper corrugate type, size and caliper. Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system. Perform routine maintenance, machine cleaning, and preventative maintenance of the carton maker What does it take to be successful in this role? Basic Requirements Possess an ability to work together as a Carton Maker and embrace how your job impacts the whole team. You are the person behind the scenes making it happen. Can accept feedback and use it to grow in your position. Must have basic computer skills or the ability to learn basic skills. Excellent endurance to stand and move about the work area all day. Must become certified to operate the following equipment. We train on the job! The physical requirements and work environment: Work exclusively in the production area, with light and heavy equipment where you stand and walk during your entire shift. Full body motion is required for this position including bending, reaching, lifting, squatting, twisting, and the like. Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds. Exposed to elevated noise levels throughout work shift, hearing protection use is mandatory while in production area.
