This position supports the Hotels Food & Beverage, Lodging and Banquet departments, working with clean and soiled linen performing activities such as: sorting, stacking, transporting, and/or fostering linen into folders and ironing machines. If you are interested on taking on this challenge by showcasing your leadership, security knowledge, management skills, and the capacity to advance work through relationships, apply today!Responsibilities:Responsible for operating heavy machinery: Ironing and Folding MachinesFolding, feeding, catching, stacking and sorting clean and soiled linenWorks on production floor around heavy operating laundry equipmentKeeps Engineers advised of any delay or problems with linen processing machinesPerforms cleaning and basic upkeep of heavy machineryStacks linen on plastic bins or aluminum racksPulls out stained/rejected linen or foreign items from cartsAssists with opening of new linen and inventoriesMay be deployed to other areas based on business demandsOccasionally assist on pulling metal carts and linen bags to linen controlSorts soiled linen into each classification weight and load into rail to be washedMaintains, cleans and clears chute of soil when assigned to a towerPulling/pushing carts from chutes to trailers/laundry areaBasic Qualifications:You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this roleDisplay clear and concise verbal and written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding with Guests and fellow Cast MembersEncouraging of other Cast Members working on the teamCan complete repetitious tasks while maintaining qualityAble to work in a fast paced environmentCast Members interested in any Disneyland Resort hourly transfer are encouraged to talk to their Leader before submitting an application In order to be eligible to transfer, Cast Members must meet the Resort Hourly Transfer eligibility guidelines:Must be a currently active Cast Member (not on any type of leave of absence)Must be in the current area for 4 monthsAvailability must meet the scheduling needs of the new departmentPerformance record must be clear of any work performance/attendance issues (written warnings or suspensions) within the past 4 monthsPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in a highly repetitive job- i.e. factory work or machine operatorPrevious warehouse experiencePrevious Production or assembly line type workAdditional Information:Our Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 4:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.
