Maintenance Technician - First Shift

Maintenance Technician Location: Mankato, MN Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (flexible), no holidays! Pay: $19-$26 per hour, based on experience Kickstart your career in Industrial Maintenance! We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who’s mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to grow. This is a hands-on position that offers variety every day — working on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication projects. You’ll gain valuable experience in preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of industrial systems. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment and facilities Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, and HVAC units Maintain and repair painting equipment, industrial ovens, and related machinery Conduct plumbing repairs and assist with general building maintenance Weld, fabricate, and build fixtures to improve production, safety, and efficiency Safely operate forklifts and scissor lifts to move materials and equipment Follow OSHA safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area Identify and recommend process improvements to boost reliability and safety Qualifications Required: Valid Driver’s License Preferred: Experience with industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting Skills in welding, fabrication, plumbing, and woodworking Knowledge of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance programs Forklift and/or scissor lift certification Schedule Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (flexible) Benefits 401(k) Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Why You’ll Love Working Here At Associated Finishing, you’re more than an employee — you’re part of the family.
