Apply now!The Parts Counter Associate is responsible to sell parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient mannerInform customers of companion part requirements while ensuring the customer is exposed to the full product lineAnswer incoming phone calls and counter inquiries, providing price quotes and other information as neededReview body shop estimate to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate when applicablePull and fill orders from stockNotify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attentionNotify all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been receivedPull orders and ensure all parts are tagged with customer names and job numberFollow department policy and instructions on the special ordering of parts, plus S.O. agingFollow up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory dailyMaintain a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperworkMakes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orderVerify will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or requiredReceive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorizationAssist outside sales representatives with their ordersExcellent communication and customer service skills, and able to maintain a professional image and demeanorAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentStrong computer & phone skills are required (Internet, MS Outlook)Proficient in Tekion is a plus!Degree in automotive technology or military equivalent experienceBi-lingual is always a plus!Must be at least eighteen years of ageMust have a valid Driver's LicenseMust be able to pass pre-employment screen (background and drug test)Company Benefits:Pay and Recognition:Paid holidays & paid time offAnnual income between $45,000-$75,000Paid trainingStock Awards (select management and front-line team member's eligible)Insurance / Retirement:Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plansUp to 12 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave)Paid Parental LeaveHealth savingsFlex spending accounts (tax free)Short-term and Long-term disability plansLife Insurance (Whole Life and Term)401k with company matchLearning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development:Digital career path tool to assist with career developmentContinuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management SystemProfessional growth and development opportunities Additional advantages:Student loan relief resourcesEmployee assistance programEmployee discounts on parts and service repairsScholarship awardsOpportunities to join our community service initiatives, which includes paid volunteer hoursAggressive Employee referral program with bonus opportunitiesAsbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
