Job Description Job #218315 Chipton-Ross is seeking a Packaging Operator for a contract opportunity in Ringwood, IL. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)Excellent mechanical aptitudePositive "can do" attitudeAbility to be safe, flexible innovative, honest and self-startingProficient in MS OfficeExperience with SAP3+ years of experience in a chemical production environmentEffective oral and written communication skillsComfortable working with flammable and other hazardous chemicalsMust be able to complete basic math calculationsMust be able to operate hand tools, such as pliers, screwdrivers, and scrapers.Experience with forklift operation POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESFollow procedures to safely package chemical products into totes, drums and pailsRepack and relabel chemical productsUtilize automated control systems along with manual operations to operate process and packaging equipmentIdentify, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issuesPerform light maintenance or prepare equipment for others to safely perform maintenanceComplete batch related documentation and declare production in SAPPerform daily housekeeping tasks, rounds, and maintain an organized work environmentPerform other tasks as assigned by managementAbility to respond to emergency situations within the limits of training and qualificationsAbility to work rotating shiftsAbility to work overtime as neededCommitment to safe and environmentally responsible operation of all aspects of a chemical process PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to perform the essential physical functions of the position including climbing stairs, ladders, lift 55 pounds, connect hoses, operate manual valves, wear FRC uniforms and full-face respirator (clean-shaven) REQUIRED EDUCATIONAccredited High School Diploma or GED WORK HOURSFull-Time-variable shifts.Candidates must be able to work any of the following shifts: 6:40am- 3:00pm, 2:40pm-11pm, 10:40pm-7am ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONEmployment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check.
