Job: Inspection Coordinator Location: Syracuse, NY 13202 Employment Type: Contract Work Arrangement: Non-field-based / Office Department: Third Party Attachments Pay: $25-$30 based on experience Job Summary We are seeking an Inspection Coordinator to support Third Party Attachments team in Syracuse, NY. This position will be responsible for coordinating post-construction and special inspections related to third-party attachments on distribution and sub-transmission assets. The role focuses on coordinating inspection activities, managing inspection data and documentation, working with customers and approved vendors, supporting billing and invoicing, tracking inspection results, and helping resolve violations and remediation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, communication, and coordination skills, along with experience in engineering, construction, utilities, project coordination, business operations, or a related field. Responsibilities Coordinate post-construction and special inspections with third-party customers and approved inspection vendors. Manage inspection schedules, data, software, trackers, and related documentation. Review inspection results and coordinate the resolution and remediation of identified violations. Develop an understanding of applicable standards, NESC requirements, attachment licenses, contracts, and legislation. Coordinate with internal and external Design Engineering teams regarding field inspections. Work with joint pole owners when necessary to reconcile inspection findings and remediation activities. Support billing and invoicing activities associated with third-party attachment inspections. Maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Monitor third-party company performance and ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled. Develop and maintain KPIs, reports, and metrics related to inspection program performance. Analyze inspection trends, including violation types, attachers, remediation rates, and other relevant metrics. Support regulatory reporting related to the Third Party Attachments inspection program. Assist with responses to regulatory information requests. Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and business strategies related to the inspection program. Assist with process improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Prepare technical documentation, presentations, training materials, and process documentation as needed. Support the Third Party Attachments team and Non-Utility Billing (NUB) with inspection-related billing activities. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management/Technology, or a related field; or equivalent 1–3 years of relevant experience. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly: Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Outlook Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret information from multiple systems. Ability to understand contracts, orders, engineering drawings, technical information, standards, and procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Understanding of process improvement and problem-solving techniques. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with OSHA, NEC/NESC standards. Understanding of safe work practices related to overhead and underground distribution facilities and communications spaces. Experience in utility, engineering, construction, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments. Experience with GIS, STORMS, PowerPlan, SAP, or Business Objects. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics/visualization tools. Knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, customer relations, account management, procurement, or billing processes. Experience with regulatory or compliance-related processes. Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, reports, or performance metrics. Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, engineering teams, or customers.
