DescriptionJob Title: Summer School Classroom TeacherJ ob Purpose/Overvie w:We are seeking a teacher to join our summer school team for two short-term elementary courses:4K Course: Monday, June 15 - Thursday, June 195K Course: Monday, June 22 - Thursday, June 25Each class meets from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily. Current enrollment is approximately 10-11 students per class.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessonsAssess student progress through formative and summative assessmentsManage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environmentCommunicate regularly with parents about student performanceCollaborate with colleagues to develop instructional strategiesAdapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning stylesDuties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in education or relevant fieldValid teaching licenseAppropriate licensure for the assignmentKnowledge of instructional practices and state curriculum standardsAbility to create engaging lesson plansStrong classroom management skillsExperience with differentiated instructionExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in relevant subject areaExperience using technology in the classroom to enhance learningExperience working with diverse student populations and differentiated instructionInvolvement in extracurricular activities or school committeesPhysical Demands:Standing and walking for extended periodsOccasional lifting of classroom materials and equipment up to 25 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, and kneel while assisting studentsFrequent use of hands for writing, typing, and classroom activitiesClear verbal communication for instruction and student interactionWork Environment:Classroom setting with frequent student interactionExposure to typical school-related noiseOccasional outdoor activities or field tripsNeed to manage multiple tasks and student needsStructured environment with potential for interruptions throughout the dayReports To:Principal
