Senior Electrical Engineer / Project ManagerElectrical Power & Infrastructure ProjectsOverviewSeeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager with strong experience in electrical power design for large infrastructure projects, especially water and wastewater systems.This role requires expertise in medium- and low-voltage power systems, including switchgear, distribution, and backup power. The position leads projects from early planning through construction and closeout while mentoring junior engineers and supporting high-quality technical delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesProject LeadershipLead electrical design efforts for infrastructure projectsManage projects through the full lifecycle, including:Pre-proposal support and scope developmentDesign phases (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC)Bidding and construction supportServe as primary client contact and lead project meetingsManage scope, schedule, and budgetPrepare and review proposals, technical reports, and cost estimatesElectrical Design & EngineeringLead design of electrical systems, including:Medium- and low-voltage power distributionMotor control centers (MCCs)Generators and backup power systemsParalleling switchgear and protective relayingLighting, grounding, and control systemsOversee preparation of:Engineering calculations and analysesElectrical drawings and specificationsProcurement and construction documentsCoordinate with civil, mechanical, and I&C teamsConduct QA/QC reviews to ensure quality deliverablesReview submittals, RFIs, and shop drawingsSupport quantity take-offs and cost estimatesParticipate in procurement and construction support activitiesTeam Leadership & MentorshipMentor junior engineers and designersProvide technical guidance and quality oversightReview work and provide clear feedbackSupport onboarding and trainingHelp maintain engineering standards and best practicesEncourage junior staff involvement in projects and client interactionsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Texas 10–15+ years of electrical engineering experienceStrong experience with:Medium- and low-voltage power distributionSwitchgear, generators, and protective relayingElectrical system design for infrastructure or industrial projectsProven experience managing projects, clients, and teamsExperience preparing construction documents and specificationsStrong knowledge of NEC and applicable codesPreferred QualificationsExperience with water and wastewater treatment facilitiesFamiliarity with distributed energy systemsExperience using AutoCAD and/or RevitKnowledge of:Arc flash and coordination studiesVariable frequency drives (VFDs)SCADA/I&C coordinationExperience supporting FAT and SAT testingExperience working with municipal or public-sector clients
