Ultrasound Tech Location: McKinney, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,899 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Ultrasound Tech Specialty: Ultrasound Tech Duration: 8 weeks Shift: NOC (Nights) & AM (Days) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum experience License: BLS (AHA Only), RDMS, RVT Certifications: BLS (AHA Only), RDMS, RVT Must-Have: Degree in relevant field Description: The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures in an ambulatory and/or hospital environment as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury. This role is performed under general supervision of a Radiologist or physician. High quality ultrasound procedures are to be performed according to established exam protocols in a timely manner. Production and quality of imaging procedures must be maintained by following established standards. Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify patient service requirements. Ensures the correct exam is performed on the correct patient and establishes rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their families regarding the test to be performed. Assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam. Prepares the patient and area for the procedure by positioning the patient and adjusting immobilization devices. Moves equipment into the specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors. Patients and team members are protected by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies. Proper sterile techniques are used when setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures. Maintains hand hygiene requirements throughout. Equipment and work areas must meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works collaboratively with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of the equipment. Reports any issues to management or the appropriate department. Assists in maintaining supplies inventory and ensures individuals are screened according to approved policies before entering the department. Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, and consent forms. Imaging team members are expected to adhere to policies, procedures, and workflows. This includes processes related to imaging records and department standards for interpretation. Able to explain procedures clearly and put patients at ease. Provides services timely, accurately, and cost-efficiently while complying with established regulatory standards. Performs tasks independently without routine oversight. Maintains a calm and helpful attitude even under stress and takes appropriate steps to resolve issues. Effectively administers first aid and utilizes emergency equipment when necessary. Ensures customer satisfaction by minimizing wait times and providing courteous service. Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge and skills in appropriate care for various age groups. Serves as a trainer by providing quality instruction to new team members.
