How you'll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Cardiovascular Surgeon Physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
The Team & Structure: Join an elite, high-performing team of 2 surgeons and 4 CV surgery APPs. You will collaborate closely with a comprehensive, multi-specialty heart care network composed of 17 physicians and 16 APPs spanning Interventional, Structural, General, Pediatric, and Cardiothoracic disciplines.
Call Schedule: On average 1 weekend per month, alongside strategic coverage for vacations, CME, and military reserve deployments.
Practice Setting: Mixed inpatient and outpatient clinical environment.

Enhance Quality Outcomes: Deliver meticulous surgical interventions to secure and uphold exceptional quality outcomes and outstanding patient satisfaction scores.

Employment Status: PRN Contracted position with Ascension Medical Group.
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Informed Practice: Utilize robust technology platforms, including AthenaHealth, Sunrise Clinical Manager, and IM Bills, to maximize clinical efficiency.

What minimum requirements you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
Experience Level: 3-5 years of post-fellowship surgical experience is preferred, though highly qualified new graduates will be considered.
Clinical Capabilities: Proven ability to work seamlessly under pressure while maintaining a collaborative, patient-centered approach within a high-acuity multi-specialty heart team.
