As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and custom bonds with in-house claims solutions.We are seeking a Temporary Underwriting Assistant, Surety to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division as a hybrid employee in our Schaumburg, IL office reporting to the AVP, Surety Underwriting.Responsibilities Processing of LC and GIA Documents; Contact with Financial Institutions where necessaryInput, Scanning, Filing and Processing of all documents receivedQuarterly rating updates for LC's using IDC and S&P informationDaily and Monthly Reconciliation of Collateral Records utilizing Excel and proprietary softwareProcessing bond terminations and related system documentationRetrieving, formatting, and distributing monthly Renewal ReportsCustom Bond Renewal UnderwritingFinancial analysis and spreadsheet supportRequirements1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance or business related - or - Associates Degree in accounting, finance or general businessNo initial Underwriting Authority given; subject to change based on training and performance with max level authority of no more than $500M.Attention to detailAbility to monitor and meet deadlinesEffective oral and written communicationAbility to take direction and prioritizeBeginner/moderate level ExcelBeginner/moderate level WordThe rate anticipated for this position is $25/hour.About UsMRSG N.A. is the holding company for Roanoke Insurance Group (RIG) and Munich Re Specialty Group Insurance Services (MRSGIS) located throughout 7 locations in the United States and Canada with over 200 employees.MRSGIS provides insurance to retail and wholesale insurance brokers in North America.
