We offer generous benefits, including employee stock options, health, dental, vision, 401k, flexible work environment, and unlimited PTO.About the RoleAs our Physical Damage Claims Manager, you will lead HDVI's internal claims team where you will provide guidance and direction to direct reports through a continuous process of management involvement and frequent claim file reviews. HDVI offers a remote work environment that is designed to support flexibility.What You'll DoBe adaptable to various business demands and willing to assist with special claims projects and other duties as assignedParticipate in regular claims reviews with both internal and external customersParticipate in the building of a best in class claims operationEmploy proper claim handling techniques to protect the integrity of our brand and provide consistent service quality and streamlined processes to add value for our customersDevelop and execute a strategic file management plan that achieves optimal file resolution and business resultsReview new notices, ensuring claims are assigned to staff with appropriate skill setsConduct quality file reviews per HDVI's Best Practices guidelinesEstablish proper follow up on file reviews per task instructions and conduct additional reviews as necessary; holding the team accountable for quality claim filesImplement strategies and initiatives to improve file quality, customer service and manage costsHandle calls and customer escalations, removing roadblocks, collaborating with others and working issuesIdentifying training needs to meet job standards, goals and company policies and proceduresAnalyzing coverage, policy interpretation, and giving direction as neededInvestigating problems, developing alternatives and building a consensus for the solution to the problem, implementing and monitoring the solutionEstablish and implement training necessary to operate a team of remote adjusters capable of handling larger scope and severity lossesOversee the handling of all aspects of the claims assigned to the unit including reserving, communication, documentation, litigation management, evaluation, negotiation and settlementEnsure all claims eligible or ineligible for payment conform to quality, production standards and specifications; provides file authority as appropriate to adjustersOther tasks as assigned by the Claims DirectorWhat You Have5+ years Property & Casualty claims management experience5+ years experience with handling complex Commercial Auto claims; Trucking preferredExperience handling Pre-litigation claimsAbility to lead and empower a hard-working teamExtensive experience across all technical areas of Commercial Auto inclusive of but not limited to Physical Damage, Auto Liability, First Party Medical / Personal Injury Protection, Motor Truck Cargo and Truckers General LiabilityExtensive experience with analyzing, determining and applying Coverage for Commercial Trucking claimsAdvanced experience and capabilities in litigation claims management, including ADR and mediation processes involving Commercial Auto exposuresAbility to work in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment with the ability to collaborate across and within different levels of the organizationExperience with large Fleets (250+) with self-insured retentions and/or large deductiblesThorough understanding of laws, principles of coverage, liability and insurance industry in generalStrong leadership skills, time management, organizational and problem solving skillsEffective communication skills; ability to obtain information from others and deliver information to others orally and in writingPreferred SkillsActive P&C Adjusters License - strongly preferredStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office and Adobe AcrobatExperience with self-insured retention (SIR), large deductibles and claims involving Independent Owner Operators (IOO)BenefitsCompetitive salary & stock options - we want our success to be yours tooUnlimited PTO with 11 paid holidays each yearMedical, Dental, Vision, Short/Long Term Disability, Basic Life, and AD&D to support you and your well-beingFSA / HSA programs401(k) retirement plan with company match contributionInclusive Parental Leave policy that supports all parentsWednesdays are standing meeting-free, allowing you to focus on deep work without distractionsBirthday meal reimbursement, because celebrating our employees is part of our company cultureA remote-friendly environment with the opportunity to participate in periodic in-person team offsitesJ-18808-Ljbffr
