Equipment Tech

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech based out of our Merryville, LA plant. This role is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support the safe and reliable operation of plant and mobile equipment.Day to DayActively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognitionComply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.Perform housekeeping around the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environmentKnowledge of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenanceAdditional skills and experience including welding, cutting, fabrication, etc (preferred, not required)Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performanceMaintain strong communications with other plant employees and operatorsPerform other duties or responsibilities as assignedAbout YouPrompt, regular, and predictable attendance Positive, Team-based attitudeThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)High School Diploma or GED equivalentMin 2 years’ experience (preferred, not required)Working ConditionsResponsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.The above statements describe the general nature and responsibilities of the position.
