Staff Mechatronics Engineer

Role Description HEN Technologies is looking for a full-time Staff Mechatronics Engineer to join its on-site team. In this role, you will design, develop, and test mechatronic systems, ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electronic, and software components, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our intelligent fire suppression ecosystem. Key tasks include developing prototypes, optimizing system performance, troubleshooting technical challenges, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to align with project goals. You will play a pivotal role in the advancement of HEN’s life-saving technology, addressing challenges in fluid mechanics, sensor technology, and IoT integration. Qualifications and Requirements - 15+ years of design experience in electro-mechanical system design, robotics, consumer electronics- Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similarStrong knowledge of sensor, motors, gear design, and fluid dynamics. - Experience in CAD design softwares Solidworks/Catia/NX- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Skills in plastics, castings, sheet metal and machined partsMaster’s - Experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechatronic systems- Collaborative across multidisciplinary engineering teams- Excellent problem-solving skill set with a focus on innovation and adaptability- Prior experience in industries such as automation, robotics, or emergency response technology is an asset- Ability to work on-site in Livermore CA
