As a Credit Balance Specialist, you will coordinate, process, and audit accounts to determine posting errors and overpayments and takes corrective action to ensure account accuracy. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week during standard corporate business hours.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:(80%) Credit Balance SupportAnalyzes each credit balance to determine root cause and establishes a plan of actionTakes action on all payer and patient refund requestsPosts the appropriate adjustments to correct any errors that were created during receipt and adjustment posting to resolve the credit balanceEnsures appropriate documentation of refunds recorded on individual accountsCompletes refund requests for patient and payers when overpayments occur within the timeline established by accounts payable and according to month end guidelinesCoordinates the supporting documentation required to accompany the refund(10%) Revenue Cycle Management SupportResponds to customer service inquiries related to refund requestsAssists with month-end posting of payments when directed(10%) Performs other duties as assignedRequired:High school diploma or equivalent1+ years medical business office experience or a graduate of a medical billing programProficient in Microsoft Office and previous data entry experienceRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
