Senior Investment Strategist

Position SummaryThe Senior Investment Strategist partners with advisors, clients, and prospects to provide confidence, clarity, and insight regarding Focus's investment philosophy, solutions, and market perspectives. They develop and maintain deep expertise in Focus's investment platform to support advisors in constructing personalized portfolios aligned with client needs and objectives. They create clear, compelling collateral that articulates the value of Focus's investment offering and equips advisors to apply it effectively in client portfolios. They engage directly with clients and prospects to discuss portfolio positioning and market conditions, increasing client confidence and driving business growth.Primary ResponsibilitiesBuild relationships with advisors as an extension of their advisory team to provide investment strategy and proposal supportServe as investment strategy subject matter-expert in meetings with clients and/or advisors including providing commentary on current market trendsWork closely with Manager Research, Proprietary Strategies, and Marketing to create and maintain educational content on Focus investment strategiesServe as deeper educational resource expert in multiple investment strategy areasPresent Investment Strategy related topics at firm and industry eventsExecute on special projects as neededQualificationsBachelors Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field7+ years of work experience in an investment-related, communications, or technical positionsAbility to work effectively as a team player and collaboratively across disciplinesSkilled at building trust and respect of colleagues and clientsExcel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to balance multiple demands with a high attention to detailComprehensive understanding of public and private markets, portfolio design, complex investment vehicles, and investment modelsDemonstrated professionalism, integrity, a high degree of ethics and maintain confidentialityAbility to effectively interface with advisors, clients and prospects in group and one-on-one settingsAbility to offer succinct, value-added recommendations, exercise sound judgment, and make effective decisions with sometimes incomplete informationAbility to take initiative and work independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approachesKnowledge of global investment market conditions and trendsAbility to speak to groups, in public or via electronic mediaCompensationThe annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be $140,000 - $160,000 per year. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
