Technical Project Manager - Data Center Infrastructure & Structured CablingLocation: Remote initially with relocation to the United States required after visa processingEmployment Type: Full TimeAbout The OpportunityA rapidly growing infrastructure and technology services company is seeking a Technical Project Manager with experience in structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and low voltage infrastructure projects to support deployments across the United States.This role is ideal for someone who combines technical field knowledge with strong coordination and project execution capabilities. The position supports data center and commercial infrastructure projects involving fiber and copper cabling systems, physical infrastructure installation, pathway systems, and field team coordination.This is not a purely administrative project management role. The ideal candidate understands how installations are executed in the field, can communicate effectively with technicians and clients, and is comfortable supporting both technical and operational aspects of project delivery.The company is open to candidates based in Latin America who are interested in relocating to the United States following an initial remote onboarding period during visa processing.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & ExecutionManage and support structured cabling and infrastructure installation projects across U.S.-based data center and commercial environmentsCoordinate technical execution, scheduling, labor planning, materials, and site readinessMonitor project timelines, deliverables, risks, and field progress throughout the project lifecycleSupport project execution from kickoff through closeout documentationStructured Cabling & Fiber InfrastructureCoordinate And Oversee Work Related ToFiber optic cable pulling, routing, and organizationCopper cabling installations including Cat6 and Cat6A systemsFiber dressing and cable managementPatch panel and patch cord installationsRack and cabinet organizationCable tray, pathway, and innerduct installationsFiber termination and splicing coordinationLabeling, testing coordination, and documentation processesPhysical infrastructure setup within data center and commercial environmentsTechnical OversightReview project drawings, statements of work, technical documentation, and site conditionsEnsure installations align with client requirements, industry standards, and quality expectationsProvide technical clarification and support to field teams when neededCoordinate with subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout executionCommunication & Client CoordinationServe as a key point of coordination between field teams and project stakeholdersParticipate in project meetings, execution reviews, and operational planning callsMaintain accurate project documentation, updates, and reportingCommunicate professionally with U.S.-based clients and internal teams in EnglishField & Operational SupportSupport field operations and site activities as requiredAssist with logistics planning, sequencing, and execution coordinationEnsure safety, quality, and operational standards are maintained throughout installationsRequired Qualifications 2+ years of experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, low voltage systems, telecommunications, or related infrastructure environmentsBachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical fieldStrong understanding of:Fiber optic systemsStructured cabling infrastructureCopper and fiber installationsCable routing and pathway systemsRack and cabinet organizationPatch panel and patch cord installationsFamiliarity with:OTDR testing conceptsFiber testing processesPower meter usageTIA/EIA and BICSI standardsAbility to read and interpret:Technical drawingsScope documentsInstallation plansInfrastructure requirementsStrong English communication skills, both written and verbalStrong organizational and follow-through abilitiesComfortable managing multiple moving priorities in fast-paced environmentsComfortable working with project tracking systems, documentation tools, and operational softwareWillingness to relocate to the United States and travel as neededProactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting or working within data center environmentsExperience coordinating technicians, subcontractors, or installation crewsExposure to project closeout documentation and testing deliverablesExperience supporting U.S.-based clients or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with project management methodologies and workflow systemsIndustry certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, or PMP are a plusWhat Success Looks LikeSuccessful Candidates In This Role AreTechnically capable and operationally organizedComfortable communicating with both field technicians and clientsAble to identify problems early and help drive solutionsDetail oriented while managing multiple active projectsWilling to stay close to technical execution while growing into broader project management responsibilitiesComfortable operating in fast-moving infrastructure environments where priorities can shift quicklyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experience and locationRelocation support and visa sponsorship assistanceOpportunity to work on large-scale U.S. infrastructure and data center projectsLong-term career growth within a rapidly expanding technical services organizationExposure to high-impact infrastructure deployments across multiple industries
